2nd Week after competition, rested, and ready to push hard. Bench PressWarm up w/ bar 2 x 10 (fast reps) Working sets . 70% max 1 x 5 . 75% max 1 x 5 . 85% max 1 x 5 Just for fun . 68% max 3 x 12 D-bar Cable Crossovers 10/8/6. 40 lb x 10 . 50 lb x 8 . 60 lb x 6 Tricep Push-ups 3 x 12 Reverse Tricep Pressdowns 10/8/6. 60 lbs x 10 . 70 lbs x 8 . 80 lbs x 6 Great workout! My bench plan was short tonight, and I felt fantastic. My workout partners had additonal sets, so I kept my spot in the rotation, lowered my weights, and repped it out. The accessory work with 10/8/6 format (add weight & lower reps each set) provides a great burn while working towards exhaustion.
