Heavy LegsDeadlifts w/Reverse bands in the power rackWarm Up. bar weight 2 x 10 . 135 lbs x 10 . 185 lbs x 8 . 225 lbs x 5 Working Sets *. 75% max 4 x 3 . 85% max 2 x 3 . 95% max 2 x 1 . 105% max 1 x 1 new max Squats w/sandbag. 72 lb sandbag 3 x 6 * Added additional weight to bar to equal the band assist so that max percentages were maintained. That last deadlift was a tough one!! I had hit all my reps last week including the last one at 100%, so tonight I decided to raise all my targets by 5%. Whew!!! I'm accustomed to working with the 50 lb sandbag, so I'd like to thank my team for surprising me by bringing out the big sandbag tonight. I realized it when I started down on that first squat, but I was able to push through all my reps at below parallel. Thanks guys!! I had to leave the group to train my Special Olympic team, but I feel like I did enough for tonight...
